Bible Reading Fellowship

Alongside prayer, the habit of reading scripture regularly is one of the most important things Christians can do. If we believe the bible is God’s word, then reading it can open us up to his transforming power.

In our busy lives it may be hard to find time to do this, but Bible Reading Fellowship (BRF) notes might help. For those who would like to read the bible regularly at home, there is help at hand with a range of notes to support, encourage and guide you on your way:

    • New Daylight offers a fresh, devotional approach to interpret and apply the Bible to your life in today’s world.
    • Guidelines offers in-depth study, drawing on the insights of current scholarship, for today’s ministry and mission.
    • Day by day with God is written by women for women, by well-known authors who have found the Bible a source, strength and inspiration for life.
    • The Upper Room is a new resource, written by its own readers, and includes a Bible reading, reflection and prayer.

BRF notes are released every four months, and are read by around 100 people at St Mark’s. If you would like to subscribe, or have a look at some examples to see whether they might help you, please contact Sue Bond, sueannbond@sky.com or Wendy Brewer bw.brewer@ntlworld.com
