Service at St Mark's

Worshipping God is one of the three elements of our vision at St Mark’s. More than that, it’s the primary reason the Church exists in our world. Giving God worship, or literally “worth-ship”, is both a joyful response to all he has given us and an acknowledgement of our need for God in our lives.

Worship takes many different forms at St Mark’s. For most people, ‘worship’ means gathering in church for one of our weekly services, or our annual cycle of special events and festivals. The wide variety of music on show at our services is showcased in this section, with pages about our choir and organ, Bellringers and our music group.

However, our Yeast groups give many of our congregation the chance to worship in each other’s homes, whilst our church provides services in the community for those who are unable to make the trip to church.

Worship isn’t just about attending services, though. It is a lifestyle which involves every part of us, from the regular disciplines of prayer and bible study to the way we use our money.
